Yea see...... Most pagan symbols (or almost any symbol with a pentagram on it) are seen as inappropriate in most schools because, what I guess, people Arnt as used to pagan symbols being in the classroom (most schools now-a-days are HIGHLY christian, wether they show it or not, or people just get freaked out when they see "strange symbols" , hence why the teacher is freaked out)

Basically, the teacher was freaked out cause perhaps, she is used to Christmas being a Christian holiday (wether she is christian or not) and was bothered by the pagan symbols.

That, and I'm surprised you're still reading xD

A classroom decorated with pentagrams for Christmas?
It must have been an amazing christmas (and the teacher's face is so worth it)!

Hah, awesome! Teachers all probably thought you were a devil-child or some-such nonsense. And YNot is right, you were an adorable kid; bet you were into all kinds of trouble. :)

"Mme P."... French teacher?

You're the first person to catch that! I actually went to a French immersion school all through elementary. From the very first day of kindergarten, it was 100% French-speaking all of the time. Needless to say, we all looked a little horrified when the big, new scary adults were babbling at us incomprehensibly. Eventually, it stuck.

You have my sympathies. ;) Being Canadian, I was forced to take French classes for most of my school years and I was really, really horrible at it. School, in general, is not set up to teach in a manner that I learn well from, so it was an uphill battle. Still, bilingualism does have its advantages in certain circles. More in Canada than the US. I, for the record, do not qualify as bilingual. ;P
